Dear Donators,

My year group has raised a thousand dollars for Socktober, but first place in the nation is above three thousand. Which is why I encourage you all to donate for the benefit of Socktober, and to provide them with the support we need. Please do donate, as we must raise enough to give children the life they need.

The Children Of Mongolia: Otgonbayar's Story

Wednesday 4th Sep

Otgonbayar was found seven days old, malnourished and abandoned on a harsh winter's day, left to fend for himself. Concerned and worried locals gave him to the authorities, in hope that they would be able to find his relatives. Unfortunately, they were unable to locate any of them at all. Four years later, after being left in the care of the state, Otgonbayar was sent to the Don Bosco Care centre. They provided him with everything they needed, love, food, shelter, and the chance to be a child. Which is why the Don Bosco Care centre partnered up with Catholic Mission, to provide children in Mongolia with the resources they need. Because of Socktober, students like me registered for this fundraiser, meaning that we will be able to provide children of Mongolia with the very resources they are deprived of. Which is why you can help make a difference, by registering for the fundraiser or donating to Catholic Mission to help give Mongolian children the chance to live a childhood they deserve.

Why I am doing this:

I am doing this fundraiser because I want to give children of Mongolia who are suffering from poverty, loneliness, malnourishment and deprivation/lack of love what they deserve. I want every child in Mongolia to experience a true childhood, filled with joy and fun, rather than inequality and depression. You know that every child deserves a life like this, which is why donating will give them the necessities they need.

Hopefully I will be able to have a great start towards my fundraising goal, as I wish for children that have been neglected and deprived of what a child needs to flourish and thrive to receive what they deserve.
